Sports Massage can accelerate the healing process, allowing your body to recover faster from vigorous exercise or daily walks. Overused muscles can lead to injury if they are not rested appropriately. Sports massage can reduce soreness, pain, and inflammation. It also promotes flexibility, reduces fatigue, and improves endurance. If applied along with proper rest and stretching, sports massage can help prevent future injuries or assist current ones – either during training or after a sports event.
Proper application of sports massage aids your muscles, tendons, and joints move properly in their natural range of motion. Proper range of motion distributes the workload among all muscles within the muscle group that is being exercised.
At Feeling Great Massage, we utilize hot & cold therapy pillows along with percussive therapy. Our therapists determine the use of these tools depending on their assessment on your first visit.

- Hot Therapy is used for chronic conditions. It helps loosen very tight muscles before massaging the area and getting to work.
- Cold Therapy is used for acute conditions. It reduces inflammation caused by overworked muscles. If necessary, cold therapy is used right after hot therapy to help alleviate any soreness.
- Percussive Therapy is used with the assistance of a massage gun (Theragun Pro) that aids the therapist to treat deep tissues. It helps relax tight muscles, breaks up scar tissue and adhesions, and it also minimizes muscle soreness and tension.
- Cupping Therapy increases blood flow and circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This relieves muscle tension and reduces pain and inflammation.
