If MLD is not received (or not received in a timely matter) the surgery area may develop fibrosis, term given to the lumps and hard/stiff tissue. The therapist will do an evaluation of the area to check for any swelling before starting a fibrosis treatment.
Fibrosis treatment is provided 21 days after cosmetic surgery combining manual massage techniques & tools* through the recommended treatment plan, to improve or eliminate fibrotic tissue, providing you with a homogeneous texture.
